O boy o boy!!
Sis and I are back to school and gearing up for finals. We just finished up a wonderful Thanksgiving break in Odessa with our wonderful Mama, Papa, and "the wolf pack" (Pepper, Sadie, Tess, and Bentley). It was such a fabulous time to rest, relax, rejuvenate, and spend time with our awesome parents!
Yesterday we got our official flight plan! We have to leave Christmas day :( but we get to stay the night in Dubai. Excited to try some delicious food there. It seems like time is just flying up to Christmas.
We had quite an adventure with our first set of vaccinations when I slept through the appointment. I am super happy that Sis agrees with me; we chose to get vaccinated against all recommended (and even some that were not) just to be safe. Ttthhheeeennn, we had to make another appointment for the medications by mouth (malaria and typhoid). That ended up being an issue for both of us. My doctor didn't believe me (the pharmacist) that there was such thing as an oral typhoid medication.... guess what... she check.... and there was. Imagine that :) then she wanted to do all kinds of "crappy" tests to make sure I had absolutely, positively, no possible sickness. Poor Sis ran into the same issues with Typhoid and ended up having a sinus infection. So, she gets to take medications for the next two months straight with everything.
We have almost reached out financial goals and our fund raising has been super successful. I feel truly blessed to have so much support.
